The purpose of Feral Artworks is to bring original works of art into the lives of indiscriminate communities of people who may not have access to, or may not be familiar with original works of contemporary art. The goal is to release artworks from the 'white box' format, creating more inclusive and direct connections between artists and diverse populations. Feral Artworks seeks to continue the discussion about the purpose and meaning of art in culture and society. Our guiding philosophy is that ART is a channel of communication and communion with, and between peoples; touching mind, heart and soul. It is our belief that meaningful relationships between ART and humanity doesn't require (nor exclude) artist statements; doesn't require (nor exclude) an exhibition venue and doesn't require (nor exclude) an academic degree in order to comprehend and be touched by a work of ART.

The mechanism of chaos and randomness is an important format through which Feral Artworks seeks to achieve its purposes and goals. Artworks are given up to an unknown future, free to find their own place in the world. Feral Artworks surrenders to serendipity, chance encounters, entrusting the universe to bring about meaningful connections. These realities are energizing but not without risk and loss. There will inevitably be many artworks for which we will never know their fate. However, it's hoped that adoptive hosts who take Feral Artworks into their lives will volunteer narratives and photos to post on this website.
